It's mid day in Aberdeen. I have never been here before and I will leave soon. I wandered not to far from the train station looking for a place that had direct sunlight. It's autumn and the wind has blown dead leaves and twigs from the trees. It's a time of change - out with the old. I started collecting these twigs then I noticed that someone had gathered a pile of stones and left them on this ledge. Lots of people are here around this ledge to wait for buses, have a cigarette break or just to rest their legs. I wonder did some bored child make a game of collecting which had to be abandoned when it was time to move on? I am thinking about my forthcoming journey and wondering how it will manifest itself. I will not be in a straight line, nor a zig-zag. I will be where I am invited and I have no idea where I will be invited to. It is a daunting journey with a heavy bag on my back. I have decided to make sun prints in autumn, it will not be easy. |

Cyanotypes
I chose cyanotype as a method for documenting to capture a specific aspect of the places I visited using a technique that I could use whilst on the move. ArchivesCategories |
