In Wales there is a wall
from north to south
a walkway
a divide
a path
that I followed
until I came to an aroma
that spirited me away
to a land of no land
a place without borders
a sense of beauty
the smell of freedom

Carpe Diem
Catch a wild bird of the heather
cook her up and eat her for your supper
steal her bitter knee
for your own
keep her forever

What better way to use the afternoon sun than a stroll by the river?
Hundreds of couples, families and tourists are here on the banks of the river to take in the evening sun.  For me the evening sun allows an attempt to capture and document this moment.  People casually saunter up and down, promenading, gazing at out at the water, stopping for opportunities to take romantic photographs of themselves in the scenery. Leaves tumble from the trees and are swept up in gentle breezes.
There is a gentle flow here, a rhythm that is different to the city streets.  The movement of the river pours out onto the banks and the people become like ducks paddling down the stream, allowing energy the water to carry them forward.

It's mid day in Aberdeen.  I have never been here before and I will leave soon.
I wandered not to far from the train station looking for a place that had direct sunlight. It's autumn and the wind has blown dead leaves and twigs from the trees.  It's a time of change - out with the old. 
I started collecting these twigs then I noticed that someone had gathered a pile of stones and left them on this ledge.  Lots of people are here around this ledge to wait for buses, have a cigarette break or just to rest their legs. I wonder did some bored child make a game of collecting which had to be abandoned when it was time to move on?
I am thinking about my forthcoming journey and wondering how it will manifest itself.  I will not be in a straight line, nor a zig-zag.  I will be where I am invited and I have no idea where I will be invited to. It is a daunting journey with a heavy bag on my back.  I have decided to make sun prints in autumn, it will not be easy.
